I woke up this mornin and it happened again, I saw that lion trapped in a pen. I cant wash it off; Ill never be clean, It doesnt matter what you do, as long as you are seen. Trying to cut through the slander and lies, I see the world better with my own two eyes. I drive down that road nearly every day. Im bending over backwards just to earn some pay. And when I get home I cant believe it. The moneys gone before I receive it. Trying to cut through the slander and lies, I see the world better
. Sometimes it seems when Im doin my best Its not good enough to pass the test Id rather be sailing out on the sea, But then I come back to reality. Trying to cut through the slander and lies, I see the world better
. The food, the water, even the air, When Im feeling bad, they dont really care. If this is what you think its like to be free, I got some news, you better listen to me. Trying to cut through the slander and lies, I see the world better
. They tell me I need to tighten my belt. They dont bother asking how I felt. Im doin what I can to fight through the pain. And then they try to tel me that Im going insane. Trying to cut through the slander and lies, I see the world better
