Im goin down to Texas, Shes gone away for good. Ill be goin to El Paso, Id stay here if I could. Im goin down to Texas, thats where I want to be. Dont ya know Im gonna finally, gonna finally be free. When I was a boy in Texas, I saw the big blue sky, And I thought I would never, ever, ever die. When I was a boy in Texas, I dreamed that on one day, You and I would kiss, kiss and sail away. Im goin down to Texas, to see what I can find. Dont ya know Im gonna rest, gonna rest my weary mind. Well I heard that down in Texas, a man has time to think. But then again theres time enough to drink. Well I heard that down in Texas, you can see the other side. Its just about a day and a halfs ride. Im goin down to Texas, thats where I want to stay.
